When you register for Atoa, you will automatically be using our free ‘Basic’ plan. When a customer pays your business using Atoa, you receive the full payment amount instantly. We don’t hold any of your funds. Instead, your business will be charged the rate agreed on its account (usually 0.7% per transaction*) or 30p each month, whichever number is higher. The 30p charge is paid directly to Stripe to maintain your direct debit.
If you add a Growth or Advanced add-on to your Atoa account, you will be charged a monthly fee on top of your agreed transaction rate. If you cancel your Growth or Advanced add-ons you will be moved back to the free ‘Basic’ plan.
With Atoa, when a customer pays you, the full amount is paid into your bank account within seconds. We recommend setting up a direct debit to cover monthly transaction fees on Atoa. This way, your bill is paid automatically each month, helping you keep your cash flow smooth and your accounting simple.
All we charge is our unbeatably low transaction rates. If you choose to use Growth or Advanced add-ons then you’ll pay a monthly fee for those but they can be cancelled anytime. There are no monthly service fees or sneaky contracts with Atoa and our pricing remains simple and transparent.
Atoa is free from hardware or rental costs. All you need is our smartphone app or dashboard on your desktop to accept payments. When you complete sign up, we will send you an Atoa welcome pack with a QR stand for your business to get you up and running.
Our free Basic plan is an easy way to accept low-fee instant payments for small businesses without any extra costs. If your business has a growing team or needs access to more features such as Google Reviews or custom roles for staff, the Growth and Advanced add-ons might be what you’re looking for.

You can view your monthly statements by opening your Atoa app, selecting My Account, clicking Billing and Billing History, and then selecting the month you want to view. This will display any recent payments and estimated charges. Fees are collected by direct debit once a month.
If you’re on our Basic plan you only pay a percentage of your transactions billed monthly, or a 30p minimum charge to cover your direct debit with Stripe, whichever is higher.
